Dino & Veronica Sigismondi in the time-honored European fashion were raised with the family traditions of grape growing and winemaking. An energetic and vibrant couple with young children, Dino and Veronica live life with passion, enjoying art travel and a devoted interest in the growing of premium grapes from which to produce fine wines.
Sigismondi Estate Wines are located in the picturesque river settlement village of Lyrup. Majestic gum trees set with the Riverland’s gentle warming sunshine provide the perfect conditions for growing premium wine grapes filled with succulently rich and concentrated flavors. In the Vineyards Dino & Veronica have embraced the latest advances in production technology while in the winery the old traditions of hand-plunging and basket pressing have stayed on.
Premium Red grapes are carefully selected; crushed and fermented in controlled temperatures, While being lovingly hand plunged. Then gently pressed in a traditional basket press, fermentation is completed in French oak barrels, where the wine is then matured.
Premium Chardonnay grapes are picked at optimum maturity during the cool of the night and delivered to the winery within minutes of being harvested. Only the free run juice is processed to ensure that the cool, crisp flavors of the grape are able to shine through in the finished product. Fermentation is conducted in a temperature-controlled environment utilizing a unique process perfected by the Sigismondi family.
